MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT

Dear Karate friends:

One year more is finishing, one stage more is coming to challenge us and for sure we will win again too.

We are prepared for continue our work and our dedication to WUKF.

This year, 2011, was a difficult one for many countries in the world, the financial situation is bringing lot of difficulties for many different countries, but WUKF continue growing.

We already complete our Calendar for 2011 with a big success; the entire world could see our marvelous events like World Seniors in Lignano-Italy, Pan-American Championships in São Paulo-Brazil and European Children, Cadets and Juniors in Gyor-Hungary.

More than 3.500 competitors and 220 referees came to our official events this year, many unexpected difficulties appeared, but WUKF did an example of organization, discipline and friendship.

The WUKF Executive Committee wants to address the best wishes for all organizers, competitors, parents, jury tables, referees and to all that helped us during our events and seminars.

2012 will bring us new challenges, in Scotland, Serbia, India and others, but with union and peace among our members, all will be easy for us.

I can say that WUKF Executive Committee is a true family; maybe here lays the secret of our success too.

Démonstration Karaté-Handikaraté - Bordeaux - France Monday, January 16, 2012

Dans l´objectif de favoriser le rapprochement des personnes handicapées et valides dans la réalisation d un projet sportif commun, l Académie Bushikai Karate Do (ABKF - membre de WUKF) est intervenue le 11 novembre 2011 pour une démonstration de Karaté ? Handikaraté dans le cadre du Salon des Sports Conforexpo de Bordeaux - France.
La vocation d´ABKF est développer les rencontres entre les pratiquants de Karaté Do valides et handicapés pour s`entraîner ensemble et réaliser des démonstrations.
Dans ce but, Monsieur Olivier HA, personne handicapée, ceinture noire 2° Dan WUKF, et Monsieur Védatri SADA, ceinture noire 4° Dan WUKF , instructeur fédéral européen FEKAMT, ont montré que des personnes handicapées peuvent, avec toutes les adaptations, s?approprier totalement le Karaté Do.
Ils sont intervenus en équipe et ont réalisé la démonstration en simultané.
Ce projet était supervisé par Monsieur Richard SADA, psychothérapeute, dans le cadre d`un projet de développement Territoires et Réseaux.
